Dorothy lived life to the full even when at times she was suffering bouts of bad health. Her determination to make the most of every day was something to be admired. She loved her family and shared a very special bond with her daughter Hazel. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and nothing they done was ever wrong, they were simply learning about life. She loved bowling and it was a hobby both her and Ernie could enjoy together. She became a member of Gosforth Empire and later Annfield Plain. She also played for a local ladies darts team for more than 30 years. A very competative person,it was always her aim to win or at least do everything she could to win. An excellent team player, she was admired by all who she came into contact with.
